40 years ago on August 11th at 3 am I came into this world crying and I may have to repeat the performance for this birthday :O)
I am not sure I am thrilled about this particular birthday it seems like it should be a milestone. I should be "over the hill" but I still feel like I am 19.
We will have to see how it goes. I already bought my own gifts last week and my parents and mother in law both want to take me to dinner at some point this month so I am thinking it is going to be pretty anti-climatic.

Ah, 40 was not so bad (although my hubby says I was a bear on that birthday) and then 50 I survived - next year I turn 60 and my mind keep telling me that is soooooooo old, no way I am going to be 60! Each decade has it advantages though, and with 60 soon retirement follows right after that, so I guess 60 does not sound so bad.
Your gingerman is so cute, sounds like a fund swap.

Hey Carin! Wow! How funny is this ... my Beloved Geek Boy turned 40 today ... August 11!! You're twins! Tee! Hee! Hee! He's already had a low key dinner with his family, we had dinner at our fave restaurant tonight and I'm whisking him off for a romantic weekend on Friday after work - he didn't want a party. I see it as turning 20 twice, so you could have to 20th parties.
Then when you get to 42, you can have two 21sts. Twice the fun!
