Turkeys!

I took part in a really fun swap of turkey blocks, the one above is what mine looked like. I now have 9 different turkeys including one of mine. I am trying to decide if I should make a wall hanging, a table runner, place mats or what. Any ideas? I think they probably have to be put on point otherwise the turkeys kinda lay on there side and look drunk or something. SO suggestions?

What a fun swap! I can't wait to see the finished product. And yes, I vote for putting them so they aren't laying down. I don't know the technical term for that though!

Now that is a cute block. On point would be better than a straight set, IMHO

Place mats!

Hey Carin! I kinda like the idea of sozzled turkeys! Tee! Hee! Hee! However, if you want them to look sober and responsible, on point seems best. I think placemates are a great idea, or four together to make a larger hotmat for the centre of the table, leaving five for normal placemats or more hot mats. You don't see turkeys in Australia very often - just in folk art and quilting. Enjoy your creating! Bear Hugs! KRIS (Tag Along Teddies)

I think a table runner would be neat. Maybe with a border and some thanksgivingy applique?
Whatever it's a cute block.

I like the idea of a table runner, set on point with some piecing. Cute turkey!

Love the turkey block! My vote is a wall hanging. My table runners always get covered up by stuff. A wall hanging would show off all 9 turkeys at the same time. Just a thought!

I like the idea of a wall hanging. Would make a cute thanksgiving decoration. They would be fun as placemats too, but I would worry about them getting stained.

Very cute! Placemats sound like a great idea!

Now how cute is that! Did someone in your group come up with the idea of the turkey?

Hmmm...on point sounds good to me too.

They look like fun! Placemats or a tablerunner I think, but a small wall hanging would also work. Sorry, I'm not much help!

Soo cute! Yep, I think they'd better be on point. Nothing worse than drunk turkeys!
