Count down to Halloween

Halloween is my favorite holiday, I love to dress up, I love the treats and the scaring each other, I love seeing all the cute ideas people come up with to have a unique costume.
I love the miniature candy bars and the smarties but my very favorite is bottle caps its the only time of the year I see them and I love them!
This year Wade is going to be a spider (I am still searching for black sweats to finish that)
Austin wants to be a samurai I am having no luck in what to do with that.
and Miranda as always wants to be a witch, she is almost always a witch. I am trying to talk her into something different.
This year Mike and I are invited to a Halloween party minus kids so I need to come up with something fun, Mike wants Morticia and Gomez Adams and I said Romeo and Juliet. Maybe Roger Rabbit and Jessica Rabbit LOL! I will keep you informed.

You'll need those new boobs if you are going to be Jessica Rabbit!!!!! ROFLOL

I don't really like Halloween that much, at the least the gross, scary part of it anyway. And the little candy bars get me into trouble every year. They have no calories because their little, right? ;~)

I love Halloween, too. The costume part stresses me, but I like all the rest!! One time my hubby and I went to a party as Sonny and Cher--it was great!! We've also been salt and pepper. Keep us posted....julie

Carin, Hi there! I love Halloween too..even if I just throw on some cat ears and whiskers! But truly, I am thinking this year of being Dorothy of the Wizard of Oz. Think gingham! My daughter Carmen is going to a Halloween party with a Harry Potter theme (for grown ups) and I can't wait to see the pixs from that! Geez, I always buy the first Halloween candy I see and it disappears! Hmmm...go figure. Pam in Chico

Hey Carin!! Hmmm, what about dressing up as Borris and Natasha, the spies from the Rocky and Bullwinkle Show? I can see you as the sexy, slapstick spy - just add trenchcoat, fedora, heels and bad Russian accent! Tee! Hee! Hee! Whatever you decide I think there should DEFINITELY be some photographic evidence displayed on your blog!! Halloween isn't very big in Australia and growing up, the only time I ever heard it mentioned was when it was in novels or movies - kind of like the idea of dressing up, though! Probably comes from forgetting to grow up! Tee! Hee! Hee! Bear Hugs! KRIS (Tag Along Teddies)

That's some tough costume challenges! I'm sure they'll look cute!

I still remember my first Halloween in Philadelphia, in 1981. We had just arrived from Europe two months earlier and at that time we didn't know a whole lot about the USA and its traditions. Now it seems that almost everywhere in the world they are celebrating Halloween, even here in Taiwan. I remember the dressed up children in the streets and the candy corn in the stores.
