Budget is a four letter word!!

That's why we prefer to call it a cash flow plan. I can't take credit for that it's a Dave Ramsey thing. All that being said, I worked out the "cash flow plan" for October. what a giant pain in my butt!

I think that DH is allergic to the check book or something. I the non college graduate, that never took an accounting class (unlike some members of this family) have to play checkbook and CFP(okay its a budget it sucks and its a pain)
I know that now that I have it all figured out and the numbers all work and I have planned for everything I can think of then...

A) The kids will need some outrageously expensive thing for school (and they need it yesterday)

B) I will break something, become deathly ill with something that only really expensive medicine that my insurance company wont cover will fix, I will break/lose a tooth

C)The car will die

D) Some long forgotten medical bill will pop back up and they will demand payment 3 months ago

E)All the really cute fabric that they only have just a little of will go on sale at a great price but I only budgeted $40 for fun things.

So I am waiting for the earthquake, flood, tornado, typhoon or other disaster to strike any time now that the CFP(budget) is done and printed off.

Loved the budget story, I have experienced much the same.... but sometimes it is reversed as in, the professor asks me in his stern voice, "Did you look to see if there was any money in the bank???" Now this is sometimes reversed...as in me to him, " Could we not have found that on sale or at a garage sale???? But either way we now have a 50.00 rule, If spending more than 50....we discuss. Has worked for the past few years. Congrats on the Saphire award, How much more to get the boobs???

I'm with you girl. As soon as I get all the figures to match and find a little spare cash disaster strikes and wipes us out again.

Love and hugs Gina xx

Carin

budgets are a pain, but I guess we all have to try and save a little for a rainy day.. I hate it when something unexpected turns up.. and dont talk about credit cards, dags (aka the super dh) hates them and whinges if I put anything on it even if I pay it off before the bill comes!
