Update on my tonsils
So this is a diagram of a throat with large tonsils and extra soft palette. So what they did is cut a v shape out on either side of my uvula and took my tonsils out this should help with both the sleep issues and my ongoing strep throat fun. The soft palette part is much worse than the tonsils, also until that heals I keep getting things up my nose. BLECH! So far I am still living on fluids and pain killers. It is better today than yesterday so lets hope that trend continues.

Hey Carin! Uh oh! That doesn't sound fun!!! Hopefully it will lead to improved health for you, though. Hope you enjoyed your big plane trip - dying to see photos of you and teddy!! Bear Hugs! KRIS (Tag Along Teddies)
Yikes! I can feel your pain. Be sure to take in plenty of liquids. I drank Ensure. Strawberry was my favorite flavor, helps keep those nutrients going down. Hope the painkillers are doing their work. I did find that I am seldom sick with sore throat infections, etc. since my tonsillectomy. I forgot about things going up my nose, lol, the only thing funny about this recovery! Take care. Here's a big hug. Kim
I guess I've been lucky they took my tonsils out when I was a kid; I don't remember anything. Hope the pain isn't too bad.
Hi Carin -
Thanks for stopping by my blog - it's nice to meet you! :-)
I'm so sorry to read about your surgery. That can’t be any fun at all! Here's hoping that you heal quickly and feel better than 100% when it's all over.
PS - I was born, raised and lived 40 years in Salt Lake. Where abouts in Utah are you?
I hope that yo are feeling better today than yesterday.
My daughter loved Jello and Gatoraide and pudding. My son ate tons of food not too long after getting his tonsils out lol.
Sure hope you feel better soon! Nice hair do! Hugs!
Sending you healing thoughts!!
I had my tonsils and adenoids out when I was a kid and I just remember eating lots of jello and ice cream. I also remember my mother reading about the death of the surgeon the following week in the paper!!!..guess I got in there in the "neck" of time...pardon the pun.
Sending you lots of hugs
Love and hugs gina xxx
