Now you may think a picture of my ironing board is an odd thing. However I will explain, Libby at http://simplylibby.blogspot.com/ is having a little drawing and part of that was to post a photo of your ironing board. Its not very pretty and its old but it works. I plan one day to put a cute ironing board cover on it but in the mean time its the ugly old plaid it came with 13 years ago when I bought it. You can see I am starting on the Jr High quilt and have figured out the sizes for my 9 patch blocks now I just need to make a bunch then deside out to distribute the purple and yellow so it doesn't look like a giant bruise.

Earthquake!
So we had an earthquake that woke me this morning. It felt like my bed was rocking.
The center was about 170 miles SW of here in Wells, NV. My dad has an uncle with a ranch in Wells. I haven't heard from dad yet this morning. The Earthquake was originally reported as 6.3 now its is being reported as 6.0.
No one has been reported as being hurt other than a few scratches and scrapes from things falling. They do have some damage to the older part of town but the buildings where empty so that is a blessing as well.
The science types at the U of U say that this wont cause a big quake her along the Wasatch fault, But I am thinking I need to go buy more bottled water.
Prayers going out to all the folks in Wells.

Mike's V-day quilt
This is the quilt I made for Mike for heart day! Its a movie night quilt big enough to cover both our laps while we snuggle to watch a movie and made from movie night snack fabric. I even suprised him, he had no idea I was working on it. :O) We have pretzels, peanuts, gummie bears, jelly beans, sushi, fries and hamburgers, chocolate chip cookies, hot peppers, mixed nuts, popcorn, ice cream cones and sugar daddys.

1)I met my DH before his mission (he was my best friends boyfriends room mates best friend)(did you follow that :O)) we never went on a date before he left, I didn't write or know he was back when he came throught the line I was checking grocerys at, he asked me out 4 days later and we got married 3 months to the day from that first date.
2) I have bagged a moose (okay I didn't exactly bag it the car I was asleep in did. That was a lovely week in the hospital.)
3) I have stayed in or had a procedure done at all of the hospitals between Ogden and SLC with the exception of Davis Regonal, LDS and Cottonwood. That sorta makes me sound accident prone doesn't it.

Okay and just an extra fact to explain something here I have no idea how to rename a link, so I am going to post a name then a link to the blog.

Guess I am not the meanest..
I laughed out loud when I saw this article about the "Meanest mom on the planet"
After I finished laughing I got online with my online quilting friends and we desided this woman needs a quilt to show her we are on her side too. These are a small sample of the blocks I have recieved so far. I am excited to head up a project to do a random act of kindness.
I am also very grateful for my wonderful friends that have so kindly stepped up to help me make this quilt possable. I will keep you up to date.

Victor/Victoria... LOL!
I think you have been introduced to Trixie here. Well on Thursday we took her in to have her fixed and to get her shots. I went a head and gave them a check when I dropped her off so Mike could pick her up later if needs be. Well I went to pick her up at the assigned time and they are all we need you to write a new check. I was a little confused and wondered aloud as to why they needed a different check. Well it seems that it cost less to get a boy cat fixed than a girl.
Yes Trixie is not Trixie anymore, I have been calling her (him)Max, Mike is calling him Trixter.
If I try to call him(I still want to say her) Trixter then I come up with Trixie or I have to add The in front of it. I like changing his name totally its easier for me.
Other suggestions have been
RuePaul
Trix(like the rabbit that hocks cereal)
It
going back to Mikes original name of Surplus
I even thought of calling him Bill (but then I would want to be mean to him so that one is out)
Frank-n-furter thank you Rocky Horror
Rocky again Rocky Horror
I thought of Monty as in Monty Python (how many times where they in drag)
Poor gender confused cat.

snow picture of the day
Its hard to see in the pictures but these men are standing next to snow up past their knees on the roof of a local church. I just thought it was something else. This part of the roof is flat and I am sure they are worried it will collapse. Last week a woman here in town died when her carport collapsed on her from the weight of the snow. I guess I am grateful that we have a peaked roof, its no fun when I want to put up Christmas lights.

Too much snow!
I am so ready for spring! We are expecting another snow storm on Sunday the only reason we can even leave the dang house that it warms up to above freezing every day for a while so we have snow, ice, snow, ice. I am ready to see if the bulbs I planted grow, I want to see the pretty flowering cherry trees out front in bloom. Most of all I want to not have cold feet!
